Our Wonderful Team

Matthew Klibbe

Over 125000 feet. That’s approximately how many feet Matt has seen in his career as a Podiatrist. When he finished school, Matt wasn’t too sure what career path to take, but he had strong interests in running and triathlon. So when he was accepted into The University of Qld to start a degree in Human Movement Science, he was pretty excited. Matt had a strong interest in anatomy and physiology, with a little sprinkling of psychology.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1997, but was still keen to learn more about running shoes and sports injuries. So he enrolled in the Podiatry course at Queensland University of Technology. His studies went from strength to strength, and he graduated in 2001 with Honours.

Since then Matt has worked in regional Qld, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, before settling in Burpengary and Narangba for 13yrs, where he started and ran the successful Peak Feet Podiatry clinic. Matt sold this clinic in 2018, in order to pursue his other passion, racing.

During this time Matt worked in another busy clinic in the North Lakes area.
Matt, and his lovely wife Kelly, have 2 teenage boys who have grown up watching him race in some very exotic locations. In 2014 he travelled to the USA to race in the prestigious Boston Marathon, in 2016 Matt qualified for the Australian age group Triathlon team to race in the Off Road Triathlon World Championship held in the Snowy Mountains. He’s raced multiple times in New Zealand, and had qualified to race again for Australia at the 2020 World Championships in the Netherlands when Covid shut travel down. He also has 2 silver medals for Australian National Cross triathlon titles in 2020 and 2022, but would love to compete again for a gold.

In the little spare time he has, Matt is currently pursuing another passion, restoring a 1977
Holden ute.

Kelly Klibbe

If you need something organised well, Kelly is your lady. Kelly had a highly successful career as a teacher, but has decided to move on to greener pastures. She graduated from the University of Qld in 1998 with a Bachelor of Applied Science – Human Movements Studies Education, and as a member of the UQ Golden Key Society.

From here she went into High School teaching as a Physical Education and Science Teacher at Bray Park High School. She quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the youngest Heads of Departments the
school had seen. A change in focus saw her move from the PE dept over to co-head the Special Education Program at the school, helping the school become more inclusive to those students with special needs. After this she was then poached to become Head of Special Education at Murrumba State Secondary College, where she designed and built the department to be fully integrated with the school for its opening in 2012.

She continued to progress through the ranks and reached the level of acting Deputy Principal, before settling into her longer term role of Head of Student Services, which she held until 2022.

Kelly is also a very accomplished runner, having completed numerous half marathons, several marathons and even more ultramarathons, across both Australia and New Zealand. She has a strong desire to complete another marathon in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, to complete the Runaway Marathon Series. She is also very passionate about riding horses, having grown up around them with her Father and Brother.
Kelly has survived raising 2 beautiful sons, who are now both teenagers. She also loves to travel, whether it be 5 stars or a million stars in her caravan. She loves nothing more than good food, good wine and good company.
